Best BTech College: Some students from IIT Kanpur have set a record right as they graduate. This placement season has proven to be not just about handing out jobs, but about breaking records. From the aspirations of 1,969 students to a salary package of ₹1.2 crore, every figure tells a story of its own.

Best BTech College: Whenever placement season arrives, a unique atmosphere takes over every college. Some students are busy preparing for interviews, while others are polishing their resumes. However, this time, the figures from IIT Kanpur have astonished everyone. Let’s break down this year's placement results in simple terms.

Registration Figures

A total of 1,969 students registered for the placement drive this time. That means nearly two thousand students were waiting in line for their turn to receive an offer letter. Such a large number speaks volumes about the intense competition on campus.

The Reality of the Placement Rate

Now, let’s get to the main point. Out of these 1,969 students, 1,078 secured placements. This translates to a placement rate of 54.8%—meaning every second student landed a job with a company. Having more than half the students placed is truly a significant achievement.

Salary Range (LPA) Number of Students
Less than ₹10 Lakh 76
₹10–20 Lakh 355
₹20–30 Lakh 219
₹30–50 Lakh 180
More than ₹50 Lakh 64

A Jackpot for PPO Recipients

For students who impressed a company during their internship, a PPO (Pre-Placement Offer) is nothing short of a jackpot. This year, 254 students received PPOs. This meant these students didn't have to worry about final placements; their hard work during the internship paid off.

Google and Microsoft Also Won Hearts

Throughout this placement season, Google India and Microsoft India also recruited heavily from the campus. Google India recruited students from the CSE and EE branches for Software Engineer and PIO-PPO roles.

Meanwhile, Microsoft India offered opportunities to students from CSE, EE, Mathematics, and Chemical Engineering branches for roles such as Data Scientist and Software Engineer. In other words, these industry giants recruited students from diverse fields rather than limiting themselves to a single branch.

However, the most striking figure is the highest CTC, which reached ₹120 lakh—or ₹1.2 crore—per annum. Just imagine: landing a ₹1.2 crore package right out of college is nothing short of a dream come true.
