The Uttar Pradesh government has increased the assistance amount for teachers three times, in which relief has been given for the treatment of serious illness and marriage of daughters of deceased teachers.
There is news of relief for the teachers of Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi Adityanath government of the state has made a big change in the rules of the National Teacher Welfare Foundation. The government has increased the teacher assistance fund. With this change, teachers of secondary schools of the state will get significant financial help in the treatment of serious diseases.
The government has more than three times increased the assistance amount given for the treatment of serious diseases, due to which teachers will now get more help than ever for treatment. Apart from this, the government has taken a big step for the marriage of the daughters of deceased teachers. Earlier this amount was Rs 10 thousand, which has now been increased to Rs 1 lakh. This decision has been taken to provide relief to the families of deceased teachers.
Provision of immediate assistance for teachers suffering from serious diseases
Apart from this, in the cases of teachers suffering from serious diseases, immediate assistance of Rs 50 thousand will be provided within a week with the approval of the minister. If special circumstances arise, additional assistance amount will also be provided. For this, the applicant will have to give a certificate from the competent officer.
Online application process
Additional Chief Secretary of Secondary Education Department Deepak Kumar has said that this process will be done online. Application forms for teachers and their families will be taken through a new portal where disposal of applications will be ensured within the time limit. For this, a three-member committee will be formed which will make the application process simple and transparent.
Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar also said that there is a need to increase the fund of assistance given to teachers suffering from serious diseases and their dependents. For this, a contribution of Rs 100 will be taken from the teachers on Teachers' Day, which will be implemented after talks with teacher organizations. Apart from this, retired employees will be kept on honorarium for the operation of the cell.
