The theme of the AICCC 2025 conference this time has been decided as "Access to Professional Career Guidance in Educational Institutions - Path to Developed India @ 2047". Under this theme, important issues like policy making, challenges and innovation in the guidance ecosystem will be discussed.
AICCC 2025: Why is this conference important?
At a time when there are many career options. But students do not know which career to choose and which career will be best for them. In such a period, such a program is very much needed. There is a shortage of career counselors in India at present. According to international standards, about 14-15 lakh professionals are needed, while the number of active and trained counselors is very less. The condition of career guidance services is very weak, especially in government and rural schools. APCCI Executive President Narendra Verma says that "this lack cannot continue for long. If we are dreaming of a developed India, then access to vocational guidance is necessary for every student, not just for select students."
AICCC 2025: What will be special?
The conference will have expert lectures and a felicitation ceremony in which those who have contributed in this field will be honored.
Limited access to career guidance in rural and deprived areas, social and structural barriers and the role of technology-AI will be discussed.
The conference is linked to the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), which emphasizes on promoting career guidance from the school level itself.
This event raises hope for those students and youth who do not yet have access to professional career advisors.
