The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has made the APAAR ID mandatory for board exam registration for students in classes 9 through 12. Registration applications will not be accepted without it.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has issued a crucial directive regarding board exam registration for students in classes 9 to 12. It is now mandatory for students to possess an APAAR ID to fill out forms for high school and intermediate examinations; without it, no student’s registration will be accepted.

Secretary Announces Deadline

In a letter addressed to all District Education Officers, the Board’s Secretary clearly stated that, in accordance with the directives of the Department of Education (Government of India), APAAR IDs for all students must be generated by June 30, 2026, without fail. Additionally, the school’s UDISE code must also be mandatorily recorded.

Instructions for Strict Implementation

The State Education Project Council had previously directed that the creation of APAAR IDs for all students in classes 9 to 12 be completed prior to board exam registration. Instructions have now been issued to enforce this strictly so that no student is left out of the registration process.

The administration has instructed all districts to ensure that APAAR IDs for all eligible students are generated within the stipulated timeframe. The government has set June 30 as the deadline for this, and all schools have been directed to prioritize this process.
