Bihar Vidya Saathi: A new initiative has been launched to facilitate studies and competitive exam preparation for students in classes 9 through 12 in Bihar. The Bihar Board has introduced a 24/7 interactive learning platform named 'Bihar Vidya Saathi'. Through this, students can connect with live teachers at any time to get answers to their academic queries. Notably, this service is provided to students completely free of cost. Currently, the platform has been rolled out across 700 'Saraswati Vidya Niketan' model schools in all 38 districts of the state, benefiting approximately three lakh students. The government plans to extend this initiative to other schools in Bihar in the future.

The standout feature of Bihar Vidya Saathi is its 24/7 availability; students do not have to wait for school hours or scheduled doubt-clearing sessions to ask questions. They can connect with live teachers via the platform and directly address any academic difficulties they face. Approximately 75,000 teachers are expected to provide personalized academic support tailored to the students' needs. Students can choose a teacher according to their requirements and then interact with them personally to resolve queries related to their lessons and subjects.

**Support for Class 9 and 10 students across all subjects**
Bihar Vidya Saathi will provide assistance in all subjects for students in classes 9 and 10. If a student struggles to understand a chapter, question, or concept, they can seek help through the platform. The objective is for students to clarify their doubts while studying, rather than letting questions remain unresolved for long periods.

**Benefits for Class 11 and 12 Science students preparing for JEE and NEET**
The scope of this platform is even broader for students in the Class 11 and 12 science streams. In addition to digital study material for Bihar Board exam preparation, students will also have access to content for JEE and NEET preparation. Thus, the platform will not be limited to school-level academics alone; Class 11 and 12 science students will be able to use it to prepare for engineering and medical entrance exams alongside their board exams.

**AI-Assisted Concept Understanding**

AI-based tools will be utilized within 'Bihar Vidya Saathi' to assist students in grasping concepts and understanding their studies more effectively. Digital resources will be available on the platform, accompanied by unlimited opportunities for learning and practice—meaning students can study and practice any subject or topic repeatedly at their own convenience.

**Uninterrupted Learning Beyond School Hours**

A key objective of this initiative is to ensure students are not solely dependent on classroom instruction. Often, students may not find answers to specific questions in school or might require more time to understand a concept, forcing them to wait until the next day to consult a teacher. 'Bihar Vidya Saathi' aims to resolve this issue by allowing students to find solutions to their queries while studying, without relying exclusively on school classes or scheduled doubt-clearing sessions.

**Launched Across 700 Model Schools**

The Bihar government has currently launched this facility in 700 'Saraswati Vidya Niketan' model schools across the state's 38 districts. Approximately three lakh students are expected to benefit during this initial phase. Moving forward, the government plans to expand this facility to other schools in the state as well.

**Existing Free Coaching for JEE and NEET**

Several initiatives are already underway in Bihar to provide free preparation for JEE and NEET. Earlier this year, the Bihar School Examination Board launched free JEE and NEET coaching in model schools, initially covering 10 schools in Patna. Subsequently, the initiative was expanded to cover 155 selected Saraswati Vidya Niketan Model Schools. At these centers, students receive subject-specific instruction, study materials, and doubt-clearing support to resolve their queries.

Residential Coaching Facilities in Patna
Arrangements for both residential and non-residential coaching for JEE and NEET exams are also in place in Bihar. Free residential coaching is being conducted at two schools in Patna, while non-residential coaching is being provided at the state's nine divisional headquarters. The objective is to offer competitive exam preparation opportunities to students who would otherwise find it difficult to afford expensive private coaching.
