Big Decision: Women will get 33% reservation in Rajasthan Police, notification issued..

The Rajasthan government has made a big decision. Women in the state will get 33 percent reservation in police recruitment. For this, the government has amended the Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service Rules 1989. Out of the 33 percent reservation given to women in police recruitment, the one-third reservation will be given to widowed women and divorced women in the ratio of 80-20. The Personnel Department has issued revised rules in this regard.

The notification states that if the reserved seats for widowed and divorced women remain vacant, they will be filled through other female candidates of the same category.

It was already approved in the cabinet meeting.
The Rajasthan government had approved giving 33 percent reservation to women in police recruitment earlier this month. For this, the government has amended the Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service Rules 1989. Apart from this, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel had said that recruitment will be done for one lakh posts this year. In which women will get the benefit of reservation.
