This 4-year course has many features, but getting admission to it is very complicated. Meaning, that admission to the BTech in Design course will not be given only based on JEE Advanced merit. The Design Department of IIT Delhi has announced to start of a four-year UG program B Tech in Design from the academic year 2025-26. Admission to this course will be based on the JEE Advanced ranking, but such candidates must also pass the Design Aptitude Test (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) UCEED. Only candidates who pass both these exams can be admitted to the BTech in Design course.

IIT Delhi has designed the B.Tech in Design course for creative minds, under which such candidates will be able to focus on solving the socio-technical problems around them using engineering.
