The commission has issued guidelines for the upcoming STET (Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test) in Bihar. Candidates appearing for the examination are advised to strictly adhere to the prescribed dress code and examination guidelines.

Wearing shoes and socks at the examination center is prohibited. Furthermore, female candidates are advised to refrain from applying *mehndi* (henna) or nail polish; those found wearing either will be denied entry.

The STET examination will be conducted online across various centers between October 25 and November 21, in two shifts. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has implemented stringent security measures to ensure the examination is conducted without any irregularities.

Strict surveillance of candidates

According to the BSEB, candidates will be under close observation from the moment they arrive at the center until the conclusion of the examination. Officials have advised candidates to carefully read and follow all instructions provided by the Board to avoid being denied entry, ensuring they can take the exam without any complications.

What is the examination schedule?

The STET examination will be held in two shifts, each with its own designated reporting and entry window. The first shift will begin at 9:00 AM, with the entry window open from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. The second shift will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with the entry window open from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Candidates must strictly follow the reporting time specified on their admit cards. Candidates arriving after the designated entry time will not be permitted to enter the examination center.

Dress Code for the Examination

Students arriving at the examination center wearing shoes and socks will not be allowed entry. Female candidates are advised against applying henna (mehndi), nail polish, or any similar substances. Furthermore, the administration has warned that failure to adhere to the prescribed guidelines may result in candidates being denied entry. Candidates must carry their admit cards and other essential documents, and ensure they reach the center within the stipulated time.

Monitoring via CCTV

Security preparations for the CTET examination centers commenced two days in advance. Arrangements for examination management at the centers have also been initiated. Magistrates and police personnel will oversee arrangements outside the centers, while the center management will be responsible for operations inside. The designated agency is tasked with ensuring that the entry process and all other examination procedures are conducted in accordance with the established rules. CCTV footage will be preserved, covering the period from 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination until 30 minutes after its conclusion. A control room has also been established to monitor all activities at the examination center.

Schedule for the November 4th Examination Revised

The BSSC has revised the schedule for the CTET examination originally set for November 4th. This examination will now be held on November 21st, while the dates for other examinations will remain unchanged. The decision to reschedule the November 4th examination was made due to a clash with other examinations scheduled for the same day.
