Which scholarship to take after 12th

There are mainly three types of scholarships for studying abroad after 12th which support Indian students financially and help reduce their burden. There are many government scholarships available for such Indian students, which help them to study in the US, UK and Canada after completing 12th.

1- Full Bright Nehru Fellowship

This scholarship scheme is given to Indian students applying for a master's or doctoral degree in the US. This scholarship allows recently graduated and first-time US students to stay in the US for one year. Under this scheme, the fellowship includes tuition fees, living expenses, health insurance and travel expenses.

What should be the eligibility

The student should be a permanent citizen of India and also have a graduation degree from any recognized university in India. Apart from this, for admission in master's program in some universities, it is also very important to have work experience which is at least 1 year. Apart from this, there should be a certificate of an exam like IELTS with at least 6.0 band.

How to apply

The student has to apply online through the USIEF website during the application period.

The student should have documents like valid reason for going, letter of recommendation, marks of previous examinations and study/research objective.

The student should have an offer letter from a recognized university in America.

2- SN Bose Scholarship

Under the S. N. Bose Scholarship program, Indian students can study for research in science and technology in some American universities. Under this scholarship, students get stipend, air ticket and health insurance. For this scholarship, the student should be a citizen of India and the student's academic record should be good, in addition, he should have at least 60 percent marks overall.

3- Commonwealth Scholarship

Commonwealth Scholarship or Commonwealth Scholarship provides scholarship to students of Commonwealth countries along with India to study for master's and doctoral degrees in the United Kingdom. Under this, the student is covered for tuition fees, living expenses and travel allowance to and from Britain. Apart from this, money is given in this scholarship for 1 year program of master and 3 year program of PhD.

The student should be a permanent citizen of India. For admission in a master's program, a student must have a bachelor's degree and for PhD enrollment, it is very important for the student to have a master's degree. Under this, some universities require at least one year of work experience for master's and PhD programs. Apart from this, a band of 6.0 in IELTS is also necessary.
