The application process for the November session of the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) 2026 has commenced. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education began online registration on September 11. Candidates aspiring to become teachers can apply by visiting the board's website, hpbose.org. This time, the exam will be conducted across nine different categories: TGT Arts, TGT Medical, TGT Non-Medical, TGT Hindi, TGT Sanskrit, JBT, Punjabi, Urdu, and Special Educator TET. Candidates are advised to verify their category, the applicable fee, and the exam date before applying.
**Application without late fee until October 3**
Candidates can apply for HP TET 2026 without a late fee until 11:59 PM on October 3, 2026. Subsequently, from October 4 to October 8, there will be an opportunity to submit the form with an additional late fee of ₹600.
Regarding the application fee, candidates belonging to the General category and its sub-categories are required to pay ₹1,200. Meanwhile, OBC, SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates must pay a fee of ₹700.
**Correction window from October 9 to 12**
After submitting the form, candidates will be able to make necessary corrections between October 9 and October 12, 2026. However, the facility to change the category or sub-category will not be available online; for this, candidates must visit the board office and submit an application by October 15. Admit cards will be released four days prior to the respective exams.
**Exams to begin on November 22**
The HP TET 2026 examinations will be held between November 22 and December 6, 2026. On November 22, the TGT Arts exam will take place in the morning, followed by the JBT exam in the afternoon. On November 29, the TGT Non-Medical and Special Educator TGT (Classes 6 to 12) exams will be held in the first shift, while the TGT Sanskrit and Special Educator TGT (Pre-primary to Class 5) papers will be conducted in the second shift. The examinations for TGT Medical, Punjabi, and Urdu will be held on the morning of December 6, while the TGT Hindi paper will be conducted in the afternoon shift. All papers will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Candidates are advised to check the exam date and shift corresponding to their category in advance.
