CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026: CBSE has initiated the application process for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026. The board began the process of submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) on June 30. This process will be entirely online, and schools must complete it via the 'Pariksha Sangam' portal. Regular students cannot apply on their own this time; they must apply through their respective schools. The board has clarified that the Class 12 supplementary examination will be held on July 28, 2026.

Students cannot apply directly
CBSE has clarified that regular students cannot apply online for the supplementary examination themselves. Eligible students must contact the same school from which they appeared for the 2026 board examination. Schools are required to submit the names of all eligible students online. The deadline for this is July 8, 2026. The board has instructed all affiliated schools not to merely wait for student applications but to proactively contact eligible students. The objective is to ensure that no eligible student misses the opportunity to take the supplementary examination. CBSE has also clarified that if a student's name is not included in the LOC within the stipulated timeframe, they will not be able to appear for the supplementary examination this year.

When will the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam be held?
According to the board's schedule, the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 will be conducted on July 28, 2026.

Which students can apply?

CBSE has deemed three categories of students eligible for the supplementary examination. The first category includes students who were placed in the 'Compartment' category in the 2026 board examination and are attempting their first compartment chance. The second category consists of students who passed the main examination after a 'Replacement of Subject'. Such students can apply for 'Improvement of Performance'. The third category consists of students who have passed the 2026 board examination but wish to improve their marks in a specific subject. These students may appear for the improvement exam only in the subject(s) permitted by the CBSE.
