This scholarship is for students from the economically weaker section (EWS) enrolled in regular undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses offered by Jamia. However, students enrolled in Jamia's self-financed courses are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Preference for Girl Students, Rs. 10,000 Annually
According to the rules laid down for Jamia Millia Islamia's Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship, preference will be given to girl students, with 50 percent of the scholarships being awarded to them. Students selected for the scholarship will receive Rs. 10,000 annually. This scholarship amount is payable for one year.

Who can apply for the scholarship?
Students pursuing UG and PG courses at Jamia Millia Islamia can apply for the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship, but they must have at least 75 percent attendance. Only those students whose annual family income is less than Rs. 2 lakh are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The Jamia DSW office has clarified that a student will be awarded only one scholarship from the university.
