Allegations of irregularities in NEET 2024 exam, doctors demand CBI probe and re-examination
The Junior Doctors Network (JDN) of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has demanded a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in the NEET 2024 exam. They stress the need to make the exam fair and transparent and have also appealed for re-examination to ensure a level playing field for all students. The doctors have raised concerns over the sudden and early declaration of results and the significant increase in cut-off scores. Usually, it takes time to declare exam results to ensure that all answer sheets are evaluated properly. The premature and sudden declaration of results has caused anxiety and doubts among students and their families, leaving them wondering if there were any irregularities in the examination process. Increase in cut-off scores
There has been a sudden and significant increase in the cut-off scores of NEET 2024. The All India Rank (AIR) of students securing the same marks has increased by three to four times compared to last year. This drastic change has caused anxiety among students and their families, making them suspect possible problems in the examination process. Therefore, it is important to investigate the reasons behind this increase in cut-off scores.

Dr KM Abul Hasan, President, of IMA Junior Doctors Network said, “We want a CBI investigation into the irregularities in NEET 2024. The exam should be fair and transparent for all students, thereby maintaining the integrity of India’s education system.” IMA JDN hopes that their appeal will be taken seriously and necessary steps will be taken to ensure an honest and fair examination process.
