The Sainik Schools Society has released application forms for admission to Classes 6 and 9 at Sainik Schools across the country. The deadline for submitting the application forms for the entrance exam is October 30th, until 5:00 PM. Students can easily fill out these forms and take the entrance exam by visiting the National Testing Agency (NTA)'s official website, nta.nic.in. How is the Sainik School Entrance Exam conducted?

The All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) is an objective-type exam with MCQ-based questions. The exam is conducted in paper mode, with students provided with an OMR sheet to fill in. The Class 6 exam carries a total of 300 marks, has a 150-minute time limit, and is conducted in 13 different languages. It includes questions on topics ranging from math to intelligence. Class 9 students have only 180 minutes to complete the exam.

Information on Fees and Required Documents

The Sainik School entrance exam fee varies for different categories. While the fee for General, OBC, Defense, and Ex-Servicemen is ₹850, the fee for SC/ST is only ₹700. Also, for registration, all the documents required are a recent passport-sized photo, a scanned copy of your signature, a domicile certificate, a birth certificate, an ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN card), a medical fitness certificate, a category certificate, and a certificate of children of armed forces personnel (if required).

2. Now, click on Registration for AISSEE 2026 Examination on the homepage.

3. Now, log in to your account and, if you are a new user, register.

4. Next, fill out your registration form and upload the required documents.

5. In the next step, pay the fees and click Submit.
