National Law University (NLU), Delhi has started the application process for All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026 from 7th August. For admission in BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses for the academic session 2026-27, students can register till 10th November by visiting the official website nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. AILET 2026 exam will be conducted on 14th December 2025 at various centers across the country. Students can choose three cities to take the exam. The exam will be conducted in many cities including Ahmedabad, Asansol, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gorakhpur, Gurugram, Guwahati, Gwalior, Jamshedpur, Haldwani, Hisar, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam. At the same time, NLU Delhi said in an official statement that if the number of students in an examination city is less than 100, then the examination center will not be set up in that city, and the candidates will be allotted an examination city as per their second or third choice.

AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Who can register?

To appear in the entrance examination for admission to undergraduate courses, it is mandatory for the general category student to have passed 12th with 45% marks. On the other hand, OBC students should have passed intermediate with 42% and SC and ST students with 40% marks.

For the LLM (one year) course, the candidate must have an LLB degree. The passing criteria for the general category are 55% and for SC, ST, and Divyang, it is 45%. For more information, you can check the notification issued.

AILET 2026 Application Fee: How much is the application fee?
The application fee for the general category is Rs 3000. The application fee for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) has been fixed at Rs 1000. The application fee can be paid through online mode.
