The wait for lakhs of law graduates regarding the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20, conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI), may soon be over. The final answer key and scorecard for AIBE 20 are likely to be released this week or soon after. Although the BCI has not yet announced an official date, based on trends from previous years, the results are expected to be declared by the end of December 2025 or the beginning of January 2026. This examination is mandatory for obtaining a practice certificate as an advocate.

Important Information Related to the AIBE 20 Exam and Answer Key
The All India Bar Examination 20 was conducted on November 30, 2025, at various examination centers across the country. All law graduates who wished to register as lawyers and obtain a practice certificate from the Bar Council of India appeared for this exam. After the exam, the BCI released the provisional answer key in early December 2025, allowing candidates to compare their answers.

Candidates were also allowed to raise objections to the answer key. This process continued until December 10, 2025, after which the council began reviewing all the objections. Almost four weeks have passed since then, and candidates are eagerly awaiting the final answer key and results.

Trends from Previous Years and Expected Result Date
Looking at the AIBE results of the past five years, the time between the exam and the result declaration has ranged from 65 to 107 days. The AIBE 15 results were declared in 65 days, while candidates had to wait 107 days for the AIBE 18 results. Since the objection process was completed quickly this time, it is expected that the AIBE 20 results may be released in a shorter timeframe.

Based on these figures, it is believed that the AIBE 20 results may be declared in the last week of December 2025 or the first week of January 2026.  Typically, the final answer key is released just before or on the same day as the results. Where and how to check the results?
After the results are declared, candidates will be able to check and download their AIBE 20 scorecard on the official website allindiabarexamination.com. Successful candidates will subsequently be issued a Certificate of Practice by the Bar Council of India, which will allow them to formally begin practicing law.
