When Will the AIBE 20 Exam Be Held?
According to the released schedule, the AIBE 20 exam will be held on November 30, 2025. This exam is conducted to assess the eligibility of candidates who have obtained a law degree in India to practice law.
Who can apply?
As for eligibility for AIBE 20, candidates interested in appearing for the exam must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for AIBE 20 are as follows:
Educational Qualification - Bachelor of Laws (3-year LLB and 5-year LLB) from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Age Limit - There is no age restriction to appear for the AIBE exam.
Enrollment Certificate Requirement - Law graduates must have a valid enrollment certificate. They must pass the AIBE exam within 2 years of enrolling with any State Bar Council.
Is passing the AIBE mandatory?
Yes, passing the AIBE is mandatory to practice law in India. The exam is conducted in an open-book format at 140 centers in 50 cities across the country. The exam lasts 3 hours and 30 minutes and consists of objective-type questions.
This exam is conducted to test the basic legal knowledge of law graduates. Candidates must pass the AIBE within two years of their provisional enrollment with the Bar Council. Candidates can appear for this exam as many times as they wish. There is no limit.
Application Fee
