There's great news for Agniveer soldiers. Former Agniveer soldiers will now be granted 20% reservation in police recruitment in Delhi. The new reservation rule has been approved by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. This new rule will secure the future of soldiers retiring from Agniveer positions.

Where will the exemptions be available?
Agniveers will now be eligible for 20% of the total number of positions in the Delhi Police.

Former Agniveer soldiers will be granted a 3-year age relaxation.

Agniveers retiring from the first batch will receive a 5-year special relaxation.

In addition to the age limit, Agniveers will be completely exempted from the physical efficiency test.

Over 42,000 Constable Posts to be Recruited

The Delhi Police is recruiting for 42,451 vacant constable positions. Applications and notifications for the recruitment are expected to be released soon. The Agniveer rule will become effective as soon as this recruitment process is complete.

Eligibility for Delhi Police Constable Posts
To apply for Delhi Police Constable positions, candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board/institution. The minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 25 years. Agniveer soldiers will be given age relaxation as per regulations. More details regarding the recruitment will be shared upon the release of the notification.
