Here is an important update for candidates preparing for the UGC NET exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the UGC NET re-examination 2026. These admit cards are available only for candidates appearing for the re-examination in the subjects of English, Commerce, and Sociology. The exams for these subjects will be held on September 9 and 10, 2026. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official UGC NET website. Since the admit card is mandatory for appearing in the exam, candidates should download it well in advance and carefully verify the details mentioned on it.

**Exam to be held on September 9 and 10**
According to the NTA schedule, the exams for English and Commerce will take place on September 9, while the Sociology paper will be conducted on September 10.

**English:** The exam will be held on September 9 in the first shift, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
**Commerce:** The exam for this subject will be held on September 9 in the second shift, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

**Sociology:** The re-examination for Sociology will be conducted on September 10 in the first shift, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

**How ​​to download the admit card**
First, candidates should visit the official UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Next, click on the link related to the "UGC NET Re-Admit Card 2026" on the homepage. A login page will open where you must enter your application number and date of birth. Then, fill in the required details and the security pin, and click submit. The admit card will appear on the screen; download it and take a printout for future reference.

**Re-examination for these three subjects only**
This examination is not for all UGC NET candidates. Only those candidates who previously appeared for the exams in English, Commerce, and Sociology will have the opportunity to take the re-examination. Complaints regarding various discrepancies and technical glitches related to the papers for these subjects had been reported previously. After reviewing the complaints, the NTA decided to re-conduct the examinations for these three subjects. The re-examination will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
