The admission process for the academic session 2026-27 has begun in 39 girls' residential Plus-2 high schools operating in all districts of the state. Students admitted to these schools will not only receive high-quality education, but their accommodation, food, and sports facilities will also be provided completely free of charge by the state government.

Competition for a total of 2159 seats
According to the notification issued by the Backward and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, a total of 2159 vacancies will be filled this year for classes 6 to 9. The maximum number of seats is reserved for class 6. The details of the seats are as follows:
Class 6: 1560 seats
Class 7: 336 seats
Class 8: 114 seats
Class 9: 149 seats

Complete schedule from application to results
The department has set a timeline for parents and students. The application process will start on January 10th and continue until February 9th. Following this, a state-level entrance examination will be conducted on March 1st. The results of the examination will be declared on March 13th, and the admission of successful students will be ensured between March 16th and March 23rd.

What will the entrance exam be like?
For admission, students will have to appear for a 100-mark objective-type examination. This examination will consist of 20 questions each from Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. The student's age must be between 10 and 16 years for admission.
