CSBC's strict action on gender-related discrepancies
The Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) has identified a total of 1440 candidates under the Prohibition Constable and Jail Warder recruitment whose applications contained incorrect gender information. The investigation revealed that 1223 applications had female names and photographs, but the gender was recorded as male. Similarly, 217 cases were found where the name and photograph were of a male, but the gender was recorded as female. The board has released the list of all these candidates on its official website. Furthermore, during the scrutiny, the concerned candidates were allowed to register their objections by correcting the gender column. Such candidates can submit their applications in person at the board's office on Harding Road on any working day until January 25th.
Thousands of applications cancelled
A total of 39,382 applications have been cancelled in this recruitment process. Of these, 19,909 candidates registered their applications but did not submit them. 17,317 candidates themselves cancelled their applications after submission. In addition, 2157 applications were cancelled due to technical reasons, including errors such as applying more than once, unclear photographs, incorrect signatures, and incorrect gender information.
Recruitment Process and Selection Rules
It is noteworthy that a total of 4128 posts were advertised under advertisement number 03/2025, which includes 1685 posts for Prohibition Constable, 2417 for Warder, and 108 for Mobile Squad Constable. The selection process will begin with a written examination at the 10th-grade level, which will be qualifying in nature. Candidates who qualify in this exam will be called for the physical efficiency test. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the running, shot put, and high jump events. There is no provision for an interview.
