Indian Armed Forces Training: 17 officers from the Bengaluru-based Air Force Test Pilots School (AFTPS) have completed their training for the 48th Flight Test Course. This training spanned 48 weeks, during which the officers received comprehensive instruction covering a wide range of technical and flight-related subjects. The course comprised 11 Test Pilots and 6 Flight Test Engineers. The graduation ceremony was held on May 23.
**Officers from All Three Services Participated**
Among the 17 officers who completed their training this year, the largest contingent—14 officers—belonged to the Indian Air Force. Additionally, one officer was from the Indian Army, and two officers were from the Indian Navy. Upon completing their training, all these officers will serve at the Indian Air Force's Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE), located in Bengaluru.
**Air Chief Marshal Presented Certificates**
The Chief of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, presented certificates to all the officers. Additionally, trophies and awards were presented to officers who demonstrated exceptional performance.
**Special Awards Presented to Officers**
This year, Squadron Leader K.K. Singh was awarded the ‘Suranjan Das Trophy’ for being the Best All-Round Test Pilot. Meanwhile, Squadron Leader Aditya Jamadagni received the ‘Chief of Air Staff Trophy’ for his outstanding performance in Flight Evaluation. Wing Commander Abhinav Kumar was honored with the ‘Maharaja Hanumant Singh Sword’ for being the Best All-Round Flight Test Engineer.
Furthermore, Wing Commander Pranav Sharma was awarded the ‘Dunlop Trophy’ for his superior performance in Flight Evaluation, while Squadron Leader Paras Sharma received the ‘Kapil Bhargava Trophy’ for his outstanding performance in Ground Subjects.
**Emphasis Placed on Enhancing National Defense Capabilities**
Addressing the officers, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh stated that they must continue to work with unwavering dedication and focus in their future endeavors. He emphasized that these officers would play a pivotal role in modernizing the Indian Armed Forces and bolstering their operational capabilities. Emphasizing 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India), he stated that it is essential to promote indigenous technology and equipment to ensure a robust defense system for the country.
